Performances with a strong visual dynamic (theatre plays or dance performances including words) are interpreted by actors into French Sign Language (FSL). With the support of the artistic team, deaf or FSL actors are part of the performance.

Performances are interpreted in FSL, by translating the text from spoken French to FSL, prior to the actual performances in keeping with whilst maintaining the spirit of the production.

A dedicated deaf person then offers an outside perspective, helping the FSL actors to improve their interpretation.

A presentation of the 2016-2017 season performances translated into FSL and with adapted surtitling took place on Monday, 26 September 2016 at 19:30 at the Maison des métallos.
