NETWORK

Feel free to contact us if you want to join our network or to obtain more information.

AUDIO DESCRIPTION

Audio description conveys visual information of a performance to partially sighted and blind people. Each year, Accès Culture sets up over 170 audio descriptions all over France.

FRENCH SIGN LANGUAGE ADAPTATION

Performances with a strong visual dynamic (theatre plays or dance performances including words) are interpreted by actors into French Sign Language (FSL). With the support of the artistic team, deaf or FSL actors are part of the performance.

ADAPTED SURTITLING

The surtitling is specifically for hearing impaired and deaf users. It includes transcriptions of the voices ambient music, sound effects, names of the actors before each line, as well as all dialogues. The surtitling can be projected above or on the side of the stage, or integrated into the set and synchronised live by an Accès Culture stage manager.

OTHER INITIATIVES

Throughout the year, the Accès Culture network offers mediation services for visually impaired and blind people, as well as for hearing impaired and deaf people. These services include touch stage tours’ and theatre tours translated into FSL. In the Parisian region, Accès Culture organises tours of cultural venues and art workshops related to the adapted performances.

Cordialement.
